Amayensis | Art
Did you know? My artist name "Amayensis" (pronounced ama-yen-sis) is inspired by the no-longer-used scientific name of a tiger subspecies population, "amoyensis".
I'm Charlotte Tan-Rugh, aka Amayensis, she/her, 18+, born on July 8th.
I'm a veterinarian student and semi-professional artist from France. I draw a lot of animals, dragons, and various creatures, but I also enjoy drawing human and anthropomorphic characters. Though my favorite genre is fantasy, I don't mind experimenting other genres, and I love to draw in a variety of art styles ranging from stylized tribal icons to semi-realistic paintings.

For traditional media, I use a variety of tools: ballpens, Polychromos color pencils, Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils, Staedtler pens, Sennelier watercolor, a black brush pen... and I use a lot of different kinds of papers depending on what I want to draw.
As shown by the amount of fan-art I create, I am a huge fan of the Monster Hunter video game series. I also like other games such as The Witcher 3, Okami, The Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Bloodborne. I enjoy listening to music when drawing, such as video game tracks, Imagine Dragons, or Two Steps from Hell to cite a few.
