I'm Charlotte Tan-Rugh, aka Amayensis, she/her, 18+, born on July 8th.
I am a full-time professional freelance artist from France with a degree in veterinary medicine and in science didactics. I draw a lot of animals, dragons, and various creatures, but I also enjoy drawing human and anthropomorphic characters. Though my favorite genre is fantasy, I don't mind experimenting other genres, and I love to use a variety of art styles ranging from stylized tribal icons to semi-realistic paintings. I do not (and will never) use gen-AI for my work as it goes against my convictions.
Hardware:
iPad pro 12"9 2021 + Apple Pencil
Software:
Procreate (most digital art) on iPad
Gimp (export to Spine) on PC
Spine (animations) on PC
After Effects (animations) on PC
For traditional media, I use a variety of tools: ballpens, Polychromos color pencils, Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils, Staedtler pens, Sennelier watercolor, a black brush pen... and I use a lot of different kinds of papers depending on what I want to draw.
As shown by the amount of fan-art I create, I am a huge fan of the Monster Hunter video game series. I also like other games such as The Witcher 3, Okami, The Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Sekiro, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. I enjoy listening to music when drawing, such as video game tracks, Imagine Dragons, or Two Steps from Hell to cite a few.
